As a ship supplier, Gimas Ship Supply & Services Company has main principles to support sustainable development.
Together with all our colleagues, we strive to provide a sustainable contribution to the environment, economy and society with the awareness of our responsibility in the areas where we operate.

In this context our main principles are listed below;
Awareness: Our first sustainability principle is “awareness” which covers all the dimensions of sustainability. According to our vision and mission, in every oppurtunity, we will add responsible solutions and alternatives to our working environment.
Certification & Standardization: Gımas Ship Supply & Services Company was accredited with ISO Certifications* regarding quality, environment and safety. Furthermore, we have Turkish Marine Environment Protection Certificate by Turmepa.

Importance of Knowledge: We know the importance of knowledge. So, we follow very carefully, official institutions’ events, conferences, social media and news about sustainability. Especially, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals* are taken into account by our company to perform in this direction and setting our strategies.

Importance of Sustainable Supply Chain: As a ship supplier company, we are the service bridge between land and sea. We know that sustainable supply chain, logistic & transportation are as important parts of the sustainable life as the production process. In this context, Gimas Ship Supply & Services Company tend to have continuous improvement in environmental performance and prevention of pollution. We strive to manage the supply & demand coordination between suppliers and shipowners with our vision “Green Responsibility”.
3R Principle “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”: Recycling is a key component of waste reduction. Our company recycles its paper and plastic waste periodically in order to contribute environmental sustainability. We minimize and dispose of them through safe & responsible methods.
We know the importance of keeping natural materials, products and services in circulation for as long as possible. Ship supply sector has a structure where thousands of different products are purchased in small or big quantities from a wide variety of sources. Our company try to use eco-friendly and recycled packaging as much as possible. Also, we prefer to use energy efficient light bulbs in our warehouse.
Preference of Electric Cars in Our Vehicle Fleet: We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations and there is an increasing number of electric cars in our vehicle fleet.
Occupational Health & Safety: We are aware that social fields greatly supports the environmental and economic dimensions of sustainability. We empower our colleagues with the knowledge, skills, training and tools on health and safety issues. In addition to have the relevant ISO Standards, we follow and implement legislation and rules.
